My beloved dog will quietly run away as soon as he goes out, and no matter how hard he barks, he can’t be called back

Many owners encounter the problem that their beloved dog will quietly run away as soon as they leave the house, and no matter how they call it, they can’t bring it back. Why did such a problem arise? Mainly because when the dog is not completely dependent on its owner, the owner takes the dog out and the dog is attracted to new things outside, wandering around. When the owner calls the dog and it doesn’t come back, the owner is very likely to make the following two mistakes:
The first mistake: chasing after
The owner chasing the dog from behind out of fear of losing it may lead to two misconceptions: ① the dog may think that the owner is playing games with it and running faster and faster; ② Sometimes dogs are scared by their owners’ sudden actions, and when their owners call them again in the future, they will run farther and farther out of fear.
Second mistake: reprimand
When the owner calls the dog to their side with food, toys, or other methods, they often scold it out of anxiety. This can quickly cause the dog to lose interest in returning to its owner and greatly affect the affinity between the owner and the dog.
Here are two effective methods for dog recall training:
Method 1:
You can use a relatively long rope to tie the leash, allowing the dog to play freely first, and then the owner can give the dog the command to “come”. If the dog cannot come over, the owner can slowly pull the beloved dog to their side. At this time, the action of pulling the dog must be gentle and not rough. When the dog returns to its owner, the owner must give the dog food or affection, and encouragement must be sufficient. Subsequently, gradually increase the length of the rope until you no longer need to pull the rope to give the dog the command to “come”, and the dog can quickly return to its owner’s side. Your training is successful.
Method 2:
Some dogs have a safe distance from their owners, so you can secretly hide them while the dog is having fun. After a while, if the dog cannot find its owner, it will become very anxious. You can ask the dog to be a little impatient for a while, and then the owner will give the dog the command to “come”. The dog will quickly return to the owner’s side and give him sufficient encouragement. In the future, the dog will not always run so far.
