Dog drilling ring training

It is not just the puppies in the circus who can go through the hoop. Below, “petdogsathome.com” will teach you a few tricks to make your puppies easily become circus puppies~
1. First, prepare a hoop. The easiest one is a hula hoop. Put the hula hoop in the doorway, and then say to the dog, “Go!” The dog generally knows that you want it to “go through”, but due to its nature, it is still likely to be willing to go through the bottom of the hula hoop.
2. This is not okay, what should I do? You should stand on the other side of the hoop and give the command “Go” again! Then hold the leash on the dog’s neck and pull the leash through the center of the hoop. While calling its name, pull the dog through the hoop to your side. If it shows the intention to escape, persuade it: Good boy, come on. Gently stroke it and praise it and try again.
3. After several times, the dog finally understands that you want it to go through the hoop. That’s fine, just pass it~ It’s nothing more than taking more steps~ The more the dog passes, the more skilled it will be.
4. If the dog has passed very freely, as if there is no hula hoop there, then you can lift the hula hoop up a little, but it is still stuck in the doorway. Then, when the hula hoop is about 20-30 cm above the ground and it still jumps over easily and swiftly, you can leave the doorway and hold the hula hoop in your hand and let it pass.
5. How is it, ok? What? The dog still doesn’t like to “drill”, use some snacks~~ Haha, it’s done!

Training a dog to drill into a circle

Notes:
1. At the beginning, you must not put the hula hoop too high, the lower the better, first cultivate the dog’s interest and confidence.
2. Every time before letting the dog challenge a higher height, be sure to warm up with a few lower jumps.
3. It is a good thing to train some skills, but if the dog is really unwilling, don’t force it, otherwise it will really become a circus.
