“Lying down” is a training movement that a dog can continue to learn after learning to sit down. Learning to “lie down” is very simple. As long as there are some delicious Dim sum as encouragement, dogs will soon learn this action.

One is that the owner is on the right side of the dog, facing the dog, holding the food with their right hand, and slowly moving upwards from the dog’s eyes
Move downwards while issuing the command to “lie down” and pulling the traction strap downwards to provide stimulation. When the food in your hand is about to touch the ground, the dog will also lie down to eat Dim sum. When the dog is about to lie down, you need to shout the command to the dog: “Lie down! When the dog lies down, reward it with food in a timely manner. As the conditioned reflex forms, gradually cancel the reward and stimulation.”.
The second method is to let the dog sit down, and the owner should squat down, hold the dog’s two forelimbs with both hands, stretch forward, and use the left arm to press the dog’s shoulder blade. The dog will then perform a lying down motion, and food rewards should be given at this time. In the future, dogs should be trained within a certain distance using gestures (with their left arm hanging down, palms facing forward, palms facing down, and waving up and down) to improve their level of movement, extend their command distance, and be able to lie down for more than 5 minutes according to the owner’s commands and gestures.

1. If the dog is not lying down, try gently pulling down the leash to make it slowly lie down, but do not use force to pull to avoid injuring the dog.
2. When the dog finishes the action, don’t forget to give Dim sum as encouragement immediately.
3. Do not frequently contact the dog for training when lying down or sitting down, in order to prevent the dog from having a bad relationship of automatically sitting down or lying down after sitting down.
